Our Friend Oscar and His Inner Critic

Once upon a time we had a friend, a guy named Oscar. Like most — maybe all — of us, he had an inner critic. The problem was, he did not know that his inner critic could become an ally. Our friend struggled and stayed stuck — convinced that those ugly words the inner critic put into his head were, in fact, true.

One day, somebody gave our friend a book. A very good book. An award-winning book. At first Oscar wasn’t sure why he had this book. He didn’t know that some of his harsh ideas could — and should — be changed. But we’re going to let Oscar tell you his own special way.

Do you have a friend like Oscar? A smart, talented, funny friend whose brain is kicking their butt? Have you told them about The Inner Critic Advantage?

If you share this useful idea with someone you care about, maybe your could ask them to post their video here. We love helping people make peace with the noise in their heads.

Special note to fellow authors and creators. This little video was an experiment in something called “better than a book trailer.” Please let us know (in the comments) what you think of it. Also, if you’re looking for help promoting one of your projects, I can put you in touch with Oscar. (He’s a talented guy who can do serious, too.)

It’s easy to tweet about this. Be a love, share the love.
