Dogs naturally have a wonderful sense of smell. They have many more sensory ‘smelling’ cells than a human’s 5,000,000. A Dachshund has 125,000,000 (25x more), a Fox Terrier 147,000,000(almost 30x stronger) and an Alsation (often used as a ‘sniffer’ dog) has 220,000,000… 44 times more than a person.
I recently had the opportunity to participate in a “nose fun” class at Mahogany Ridge. I was pleased by the effort my pup put in to finding her all natural Jerky Direct Turkey Pet Treats.
