Last winter I had the opportunity to travel extensively in Vietnam. I went with a wonderful group of people (lots of journalists, teachers, social workers, parents and other writers), had a wonderful adventure and fell in love with the country and the people of Vietnam. Fox Friendship Enterprises is pioneering ‘philanthro-toursim’ – a concept in which a portion of the price of your tour goes to provide life-saving heart surgery to Vietnamese children in Hue. Once upon a time, there was a group of writers sitting around, helping one another with a variety of projects. (That's the 'nom de plume' of a certain writers' group known as whitehotflashesofbrilliance). 'Staff Infection' is currently available only as an e-book. It's funny, irreverent, full of good reminders for managers and has been used as a supplemental text in a management course at a nearby community college.
